Sussex

We were spoiled to live in a place with so much natural beauty, along the coast and in the Downs.

Buenker Visit, Seven Sisters

Hampton Visit, Beachy Head (believe it or not, it's MAY!)

Lewes

And this is why we moved to Lewes: BONFIRE NIGHT!!

Every November 5th, Lewes explodes in an incredible orgy of fire, crackers, flaming barrels of tar and fireworks, fireworks, fireworks. With no less than FIVE competing bonfire societies of its own AND at least a dozen societies from outlying villages, Lewes is definitely going strong as the best place in the world to spend this crazy night. A town of pyromaniacs, saving and fundraising throughout the year just to blow up things....that can't be beat!

Our first home, Manhattan Cottage, with four-legged neighbours and all the wind and dramatic scenery of the South Downs.
